Achievements: Senior member and team leader of the Move and Configure Team. Trainer of remote branch IT representatives and new home office MAC team members. Administrator of Windows NT 4.0 server for Credit Interlink. Junior Administrator of Optika document imaging system consisting of one NetWare 4.1 server, Windows NT SQL server, five image enhancement processors, three juke box controllers and three high speed Kodak scanners producing up to 150,000 scans per day. Introduced Ghost to the department and demonstrated its effectiveness on the above imaging project which reduced workstation deployment time by 70%. Ghost was later implemented as part of the Windows 95 rollout to 600 PCs at the corporate office and 300 branch office PCs that was completed March 1999. Worked in junior capacity to Network Systems Engineer to build Novell servers for deployment to new branches, applied patches to make Novell 3.12 servers Y2K compliant. Configured several Windows NT servers for various home office functions, did basic configuration of CISCO 1601 router, monitored CISCO and 3Com switches, planned and implemented cable management for electrical closets. Successfully configured and deployed 65 PCs for Records Management and Audits departments. These consisted of DTI EasyRead high resolution monitors on a Win95 PC, static TCP/IP address, Optika FPMulti, FPListen and FPLink, PFWorkPlace, NetSoft Elite400 mainframe interface, MortgageFlex (DataFlex) interface, MS Office and SQL Clients. Setup user IDs on Novell 3.12 server and synchronized passwords on users' home server. Successfully deployed 70 PCs in a new branch. Setup and configured HP ScanJet5 Network scanner. Installed and setup HP LaserJet 4000T printers with JetDirect card and configured print queues in JetAdmin. Converted 25 PCs to Fast Ethernet from Tokenring and installed 50 new PCs. Setup and installed Cisco Catalyst 2900, Cisco Catalyst 3500 and Cisco Catalyst 4000 switches for our conversion from Tokenring to Fast Ethernet. Developed, tested and directed rollout of conversion from NS Elite to Rumba2000 AS/400 interface to 125 users. September 1999 was promoted to Senior Information Specialist and moved to the Network Support Group. Assumed senior administrator position for the document imaging system. Installed test environment for e-commerce and imaging applications. Provided senior level server support and upgrades on NT servers. Installed and configured Network Associates, Inc. Active Security products including Gauntlet Firewall for NT, Cybercop Scanner, PKI Certificate Authority Server, Sentry and Event Orchastrator. On my annual review, I received high marks in all areas and rated "above expectations" in every area of the evaluation. 9/98 to 2/99 - Universal Studios, Inc. Universal City, CA Project Implementation. Provided second level support to 18 technicians in changing approximately 3,000 PCs from Tokenring to Ethernet on MacIntosh, Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Windows NT machines along with doing desktop standardization, installing a customized IE 4.0, SMS client, IntraNetware Client 2.20, applying various Win95 patches, optimizing performance. 11/97 to 3/98 - MicroAge of Commerce/Impres Technology Encino, CA Field Service Technician/Consultant. Duties included making field service calls for Hewlett Packard computers and printers, Apple printers and Compaq computers to make in and out of warranty repairs. Consulting to WMC Mortgage providing floor support to loan officers, underwriters, and other personnel in staying connected to their Tokenring network and Novell servers and supporting various mortgage applications: XcrossTalk, Credible, Report Manager, NS Elite400 and LSAMS. Duties also included configuring new PCs and placing these in service, relocating PCs for personnel that had been moved, and making various repairs and upgrades. 9/97 to 11/97 Trust Company of the West, Los Angeles, CA Participated in upgrading 600 PCs from Windows 3.1 to Windows NT 4.0 workstation. Responsibilities included: Backing up users' disk image to network drive, Fdisk to create two partitions (one FAT and one to be converted to NTFS), format the C: drive and copy the users' image back, verify NIC drivers in autoexec.bat, verify network context in net.cfg, start Windows 3.1 and reset the swap-file, run Defrag and Scandisk, IntrarnetWare Client 4.11 and Service Pack 3. Assigned users to the proper groups so they would have the network rights and permissions needed for their job duties. In Disk Administrator, formatted drive D: and converted to NTFS, verified proper WINS and DNS addresses, verified Lana sequence, set environment variables, installed Novell Application Launcher, installed Internet Explorer, assigned and setup network printer, login as user and migrated user settings, migrate users' program groups and tested applications. 2/96 to 8/97 HI-TECH COMPUTER RENTAL Burbank, CA Duties included rapidly filling orders for rented PC and MacIntosh computers, configuring all hardware and software components to the specifications on the order, on site setup, phone support, field service for repairs, tracking inventory and software licenses. Management Skills: Successfully operated a window cleaning and janitorial service from 10/82 through 12/95. My accomplishments included expanding this business from conception to a thriving enterprise, which handled over 300 commercial accounts and 400 residential accounts. I employed as many as five subcontractors during the busiest seasons. I managed by statistic, giving each function a statistic that could be compared to an earlier period of time (usually day or week), and then planning with my staff how to obtain increases in production. When I was ready for a change from this business, I sold it for a handsome profit.
